They are stopped for a bite to eat, which mean Rana gets some as well. She is doing incredibly well, she has continued eating, she took a drink this last stop and is still completely calm.
The pace was a little slow initially, but has picked up to what would be considered ‘normal’. The drivers say they don’t feel her moving at all and that is because she’s not swaying or stereotyping. Rana will if she becomes stressed, but right now she is all good.
As for how an elephant handles a move, right now you couldn’t hope for anything more. She’s doing perfect and we are very proud.
BTW, power is out at the sanctuary again, running on the generator. Hoping the shenanigans all stop for Rana’s arrival. Oh, and we are 2 hours ahead of EST, for those wondering what the time difference is.
