This is how Scott starts his mornings at 5:30 AM. Elephants come later, that hour is chicken, tapir and Frederick time. We are in the middle of the dry season, and although Frederick has access to the property, he stays closer at this time of year. He almost always now comes for his morning senior pellets and his evening snack.
It’s possible to get up a bit later, but Scott prefers the peacefulness of the sunrise and chickens who are a bit more mellow because they are just waking up. I prefer the extra hour of sleep, although the sunrise and the mist coming over the hill tops is a beautiful sight.
