For those missing your live feeds of the girls, here’s a short live interview with Scott and the girls in the background that was done Wednesday morning. Maia even decides to photobomb. Scott talks about Mara, her past, and her adaptation, along with talking about the future of other elephants in South America.
One thing of note, since I’m sure many will pick up on it, we do not have an agreement for Kuki and Pupi from the Buenos Aires EcoParque. The park still has not made a final decision as to their destination. But, of course, we have offered them a home here. As always, there are several other elephants we are working on but don’t mention by name. This is often done to protect the process and not risk things falling apart.

May 22, 2020 at 8:43 amThe sanctuary is situated on 2800-acres of incredibly diverse property in the municipality of Chapada dos Guimarães, Brazil. As for lovely Lady, there is a wealth of wonderful information to read on her page and in her diary. Thank you.

May 21, 2020 at 12:45 pmGreat work Scott! The more the world is educated on these beautiful creatures, the better. Sure wish one of the major morning new shows in the U.S. would interview you….maybe we as fans and supporters need to make a big effort in making this happen. I’ll do my part as able. Cheers to all the ele’s and staff at GSE! ? ?

May 21, 2020 at 2:37 pmWhat a fascinating, informative interview! Thank you, Scott Blais, and everyone there who is working to save these beautiful animals! There is so much cruelty to animals in the world and it makes me feel like there is some hope for animals when I see a place like your wonderful sanctuary!

May 21, 2020 at 3:03 pmThat was a great interview and a bonus with the girls in the background. I agree that the exposure is good for GSE. I wonder if Meghan Markle and Harry would be interested in raising the profile of the sanctuary? They have a very high profile and Meghan did the voice over for elephants for Disney recently that was well received. They both have a passion for helping conservation and wildlife.

May 21, 2020 at 6:53 pmThanks for the great video interview scott oh I wish the 3 africans can come and all the asians what a busy blessed sanctuary it would be‼️I know brazil has major covid health issues right now, I pray u will be able to get zoo and circuses to donate gods precious to the sanctuary as seeing these ladies become natural elephants and not sterotyping, pacing! Stressed out creatures from chains and bars ‼️ humans have done too much abuse to these gorgeous intelligent???? elephants ‼️humans from zoos and circuses must correct this issue and release them to ges brazil?
