For a little more perspective, here is a video that was put together for a presentation for the Brazilian organization, Santuário de Elefantes Brasil. It gives an unobtrusive view of the girls in a way that shows more of the property as well. There are different combos of two and then the three girls together. It’s fairly easy to identify them from above- Maia is the most round, Rana is the tallest, Guida has the most pronounced spine.
Many thanks to @gregkickow for putting this together. As many of you know, for an organization this size, volunteers allow us to function and grow. They are a necessity and Greg is not only creative, but his heart is attached to the project and it shows.

May 28, 2019 at 10:55 pmWhat a wonderful place. How many elephants do you think you could house and look after properly?
Is there any extra land attached to the current sanctuary? I think you are doing wonders and I know the elephants appreciate it.

May 29, 2019 at 10:20 amWith the full area fenced, which will take years and a lot of funding, we could house around 45 elephants. This would depend on gender and species, along with compatibility. The sanctuary property is 2800-acres, so we’re not concerned about additional property. But the neighbors have said they would sell if we were ever interested.
