We wrote recently about how Mara and Rana are having more and more celebrations, for just about any reason. The same is happening with Maia, Guillermina, and Bambi. When we drive near on the 4-wheelers, we seem to catch them in another party – almost every day. Sometimes they’ll start vocalizing in the middle of Bambi’s treatment. It’s beautiful to hear trumpets and rumbles coming from various directions throughout the sanctuary. Truly, it feels like overwhelming joy is emanating from all of the beings surrounding us. 

Maia, Guille, and Bambi are more vocal and generally louder in their conversations than Rana and Mara are. When they arrive at mealtime, whether morning or evening, it seems someone has something to say. Sometimes Maia and Guille will walk away during Bambi’s treatments, which gives us time and space to dedicate to her. They will come back to Bambi afterward and there’s another party. Every time they lose sight of one another and come together again, there’s reason to celebrate. And that is always a joyful occasion.
