Sunday Smile: Maia’s Artistic Spray

It’s well known how much Maia (sometimes called our “pond blob”) loves the water. She will spend many sleepy hours in the pond or mud wallow. For this week’s Sunday Smile, we get a photo of Maia, wearing her finest hay shawl, spraying water in nearly a perfect circle. Happy Sunday!

I came across what looks like a very amazing story told in a book called “Elephant Company.” It’s the inspiring story of how elephants helped save lives in World War II. I didn’t get to read it; was displayed in a lobby of an old motel. Looked fascinating, and I shouldn’t be surprised by the story’s subject.
