Some days, the elephants here can show their personalities in the most subtle (and funny) of ways. On this day, Mara, Bambi, and Rana were standing at the fenceline and Mara started to communicate with some deep rumbles. Scott zoomed in on Mara’s forehead, trying to catch the vibrations that occur when elephants rumble – but muddy Mara didn’t seem to want to stand still. So, here you have an outtake of Mara showing off her “good side.” (P.S.: Every side is Mara’s good side.)
