Guillermina and Pocha Love Mud

As Pocha and Guillermina have been exploring their new world, they have discovered that they love mud. While this might seem like an obvious thing for many elephants, the harsh living conditions of their past make playing in mud and water a new and exciting pastime. Pocha discovered the beauty of mud right away, but Guille took a little longer to be convinced.

Here, what started as a drink from the hose turned into an opportunity for play. Most elephants seem to best love the mud pits and wallows they make themselves – and Guillermina and Pocha’s playful splashing shows they are delighted with the mess they’ve helped create.

I am so enjoying them living the closest way to how an elephant should be living. I don’t think it could be any better. I thank all of you who give your time and lives work to make sure these ladies were rescued and are now taking such good care of them. It is a blessing to see there are good humans that doing their best for all the rescues. Thank you again.
Do you guys have the designed cakes made out of fruit and rice, etc that we can buy and have our name or someone elses, like Happy Birthday put on for the elephants like the rescues in Thailand do, or something similar?

We don’t have cakes or treats like that all the time – but occasionally we will do a fundraiser where you can purchase items (like fruit) that we will customize with your name, etc. Otherwise, we do have elephant wishlists up all of the time if anyone would like to give. https://globalelephants.org/wishlists/
