This week’s Sunday Smile features Bambi’s curlycued trunk. You can see her taking food from Scott’s hand; we give her supplements and medications directly in her nose this way her sisters can’t share and we make sure she gets everything she needs. Her nose is longer than those of the other girls so she can reach farther and, as you can see, she often rolls her trunk into a perfect coil so that she is in a more passive position versus reaching out fully and being pushy with her nose. Bambi is a very elegant elephant.
