When all three ladies spend time together, in the past it has been in the yards closest to the barn. Usually under different favorite trees of theirs. Lately, we have been finding the three of them or Rana and one of the other ladies, together out in the far reaches of the habitat.
This afternoon Rana (front) and Maia (middle) had already been together, and Guida (back) decided to join them. The photos show both ladies putting their trunks up to smell her upon her arrival.
They have all been doing great with each other and the number of times we find them together in the habitat is slowly increasing. But it’s really nice to catch them just mellow and grazing, a few feet from one another. After Rana’s initial excitement to have friends, she learned that toning it down just a bit works wonders.
