As you watch Rana and Mara walk leisurely through the habitat, we hope you see what we see: elephants who have the opportunity to head in any direction they want, on their own timelines. There’s so much beauty in this sanctuary life that encourages autonomy, and we’re thankful that we have the privilege of standing alongside each elephant as they choose their pace and their path. 

We would like to express gratitude to each of our supporters who continue to walk with the elephants and our team at Global Sanctuary for Elephants. May you find some time in the coming days to go slow and enjoy the scenery around you, with a loved one or two by your side.
