Ready to pick a team? For those who are going to set up their own Giving Tuesday personal fundraiser, to be an elephant ambassador and get friends and family to join in on the fun, we are sharing the link for our fundraising page: https://secure.qgiv.com/event/roomtoroam/

This will give you time to get everything set up and make sure you are ready to go on November 30th. The fundraiser will run from Tuesday the 30th until the end of the year, so you can encourage donations as a holiday gift option.

For those of you who would prefer to simply donate to your elephant team, you can wait until next week to give the gift of ‘Room to Roam’. We will start out #GivingTuesday with a generous $15,000 matching gift – so every dollar you donate will be DOUBLED!

When you click the link above, you can create your individual fundraising page by clicking on the ‘Create Your Personal Fundraiser’ button. You will then be asked to choose which elephant team you want to join and a few other details. You will receive an email to confirm your registration that also has a link to your fundraising page. Once there, the system guides you through the few simple steps needed to be ready to raise support for your team. For those of you who are fans of Facebook fundraisers, you can set one of those up directly in that page. Those funds will funnel into the pot for your team and show donations in real time. This way you can track every team’s progress and the overall goal.

Each individual elephant’s team page has helpful information along the top and the sidebar of your page. We encourage you to have fun with it – send out emails to friends and family, post fundraising information on your social media pages, request donations to your page instead of gifts this holiday, and spread the word to others who share your passion for sanctuary. Tell everyone all the special things about the elephant you’ve chosen or why you feel connected to her. Most importantly: make it your own! We look forward to seeing all of your pages and how you choose to customize them. Each GSE employee team captain will be there to guide you through, if you have any questions. 

You can also visit the informational page on our website that details the breakdown of funds for the female African elephant habitat. There is a map at the bottom of the page that will be filled in as dollars continue to be raised, so you can see how much of the beautiful habitat is funded. And yes, that is a drone image of the African habitat, the existing fencing, and where the new fencing will be laid.

Each of your efforts directly helps more elephants. The funds you raise allow us to build more safe spaces for the elephants – and that means we can add more elephants to our sanctuary, offering healing and peace. You have done much to create this life-affirming place and we are grateful for everything you continue to do for us, and for each elephant at Elephant Sanctuary Brazil.
