Maia, Bambi, and Guillermina – like their sisters Rana and Mara – have been having a great time with vocalizations lately. Guille, in particular, has been very silly. She does a little head wiggle when she’s extra excited and feeling playful.
Often, if you can get one of them to start making noise, the others will follow suit. Scott, on his way to feed Bambi her extra lunch, was encouraging Guille to squeak, hoping to get a party going. Bambi, who usually stands to the side, comes over and squeezes herself in between Maia and Guille, making an elephant sandwich. The three are in great spirits as they continue to enjoy each other’s company.

Help take extra special care of an elephant that is close to your heart.

September 22, 2024 at 2:37 amHoly Moly! What can you say about girls who are so adorable and so silly after all each of them have been through? I love them so and hope I can follow their example (except maybe the butting in–humans wouldn’t take too kindly…). xoxoxoxoxo

September 22, 2024 at 7:34 amThe girls are so adorable! Guiile’s head shake and Bambi squeezing herself in the middle are just both so extra silly. These ladies are all so very special!

September 23, 2024 at 12:14 pmA quick question….do the girls respond differently to guys as opposed to gals? Do they smell the difference? They are so precious.

September 23, 2024 at 12:22 pmI don’t know if they smell a difference, but they respond differently to different people – mostly based on their presence.
