Sunday Smile: Some Time in the Mud

It’s been particularly hot recently at the sanctuary, and the girls have been taking advantage of all the water sources available, whether it’s a water trough, a mud wallow, a pond, or the hose. This week’s Sunday Smile gives us a glimpse of Rana and Mara at the edge of the pond in Yard 5. They haven’t gone all the way in, but are choosing to beat the heat by soaking their feet in mud and giving themselves the occasional refreshing spray to cool off. Watching them gives us a peaceful feeling emblematic of sanctuary life.
