Sunday Smile: A Hay Party

March 10, 2024

Maia and Guille with hay

This week, Bambi got a little extra hay to help build up her stamina after she laid down and had trouble getting back up. The Sunday Smile shows exactly what happened after Bambi was given her additional snacks. She ate several good bites, but Guillermina promptly shared in the bounty and wasn’t interested in eating. Instead, she decided to toss a pile on her head, and then the two played in the hay and made a great big silly mess. Not to worry: Bambi got plenty to eat and enjoyed some extra fruits and veggies, too. It was nice to see Bambi doing well so soon after her episode. Guille may have known the right way to bring out the best in Bambi, just by being her regular goofy self.

Bambi has only had one incident where she couldn’t get up without assistance. She seems stronger now and is doing well.

How can you not love the hay “hats”? What a treat to see these huge and amazing creatures show their playful side.
