Snack Time at the Fence

In the morning, Maia, Bambi, and Guillermina had gathered along the fence after breakfast. They were enjoying some hay that had been put out for them, which is a supplement to their regular meals. Keeping an eye on what they eat, how, and how much, is one of the ways we can track any deviations from their digestive norms. Monitoring their food intake allows us to notice almost immediately if anything is “off”.

On this day, everything was normal–including the fact that the three girls were together after meal time. Though they might get their scheduled meals at a slight distance apart, they almost always seem to come together afterward. Here you can see Bambi and Maia enjoying some bites of hay. Guille walks around behind Bambi to join her on her other side, sharing some of her morning snack. All three girls appear quite content, as the relaxed flapping of their ears seems to reveal.
