Scott With All Five Elephants

As we mentioned yesterday, the five elephants here at Elephant Sanctuary Brazil have been spending more time near one another, though the distance between them varies depending on the situation. Here you can see Rana and Mara enjoying some hay. Guillermina, who had been standing with them, decided she would cross over and see her other friends, Bambi and Maia, who were standing some meters away. 

But keep an eye on Guille – because here she comes again, heading back in the other direction! These older girls don’t really try to keep up with her, because it would be hard to maintain pace with a 25-year-old, even on the best of days. In this video, Scott talks about the recent cooler weather and the relationship changes we’ve seen unfolding in the past weeks. All-in-all, it’s interesting to watch the dynamics. Who knows what will unfold next?

    It would be nice to see some MALE elephants walking across the screen. And what about the African Elephants waiting in the zoos to be rescued???? is GSE unable to afford to care for MORE elephants? It used to be thought to be that those other elephants who were on the rescue list would be at GSE in a couple of years…what is happening????

      We’ve been open about what is happening. There are permit issues that we’ve been working with the government on for over a year. It is not a financial issue, as we’ve explained.

    This video was a hoot 😂. Cheeky sweet Guille! It was like she was making a food pass in front of Scott just in case anything delicious just happened to be tossed out as she was walking by!! Worth a try!! Thank you for sharing. They are just so beautiful, I love them so much ❤️🐘❤️.

    Such happy campers I tell ya and I really do see smiles on all their faces just amazing says alot about how well taken care of they are! To everyone we see and all those behind the scenes who work so hard you all deserve a super big hug and a great big thank you! 🤗 🥳

      The temperatures we’re having now have been slightly cooler than normal, but the rain ended early. So everything will be hot and dry soon.
