Guillermina Checks On Maia and Bambi

While Maia and Bambi were standing together, just calmly grazing, Guillermina found them hanging out. Maia was initially a little protective of Bambi, since someone new was approaching. We suspect that she understands that Bambi gets nervous when she doesn’t know who is coming near, because of her declining vision due to cataracts. Once Bambi was aware it’s Guille who was near, she relaxed. Maia was still on alert though, and tried to insert herself between Guille and Bambi whenever she could. Bambi finally expressed that she was okay with Guille’s presence and Maia eased into a less watchful place. 

Guillermina approached making her silly, fun noises – almost certainly wanting to get a feel for the mood of the two. When they welcomed her over, she seemed excited to spend time with her two friends. But, as we mentioned this weekend, Guille seems to be bouncing back and forth between the two groups of friends. The three had a nice few moments together with some soft rumbles, before Guille bounded off to burn off more energy in the rest of the habitat.

    I love to read about Guille. It seems Guille is like everybody’s friend 🙂 or at least she’s trying.

    Every time i read about Guille I think about her life now compared to pre-sanctuary. It’s got to blow her mind having this new world to explore.

    Good for U Guillie. U got to see ur friend Bambi. Don’t worry Maia is just watching so she doesn’t get alarmed as Bambi can barely see. Nice to hear u r visiting with both groups Maia and Bambi and Rana and Mara. Sadly. MARA WAS NOT NICE TO BAMBI. I HOPE MARA TRIES AGAIN FOR FORGIVENESS WITH BAMBI
