Green is Returning to Sanctuary

Now that the rains have returned, there’s a relaxed feeling that is spreading across the sanctuary. But that’s not the only thing that is making its way across the land around us. Thanks to the rains, we are seeing an explosion of green from every angle. Sometimes you’ll see an elephant with a green tongue, which means they’ve been doing plenty of grazing. It’s a delightful sight, especially when you know they are enjoying the freshest and the greenest grasses and branches – all to their hearts’ content.

In this video, Bambii is snacking in a clearing, surrounded by lots of delicious grass and fresh greenery. You can see exactly how the sanctuary scenery is changing as the camera pans across the field. Guillermina and Maia are walking towards Bambi. Maia is slow and steady, but Guille takes a measured (yet still bouncy) pace. It’s another gorgeous day in Brazil for everyone around.
