Another Big Bath for Baby

Scott went live on Facebook this afternoon. Baby was being too cute not to show you!
Another sunny day, and Baby is being adorable yet again. We’re not sure she loves anything more than these baths, where she can roll around, get soaked, and be her cute, lovely self. And, yes the others are watching her get wet and silly from afar.
These baths, along with her regular dusting, will help to exfoliate her skin, and the few ingrown hairs she has on her back will likely resolve in the process.

Scott is putting more water in her pond, and we are all curious to see if and when she will take to it in the midst of all of her other explorations in the habitat.

What a bath, Baby really enjoyed it. She lifted and presented every part of her body to the water flow. I believe the girls looking on, across the may be a little jealous.🥰

After her quarantine is over, she will be introduced to the others, and she will get to choose who she spends time with. It’s also possible she’ll prefer to explore on her own, and if that’s the case, the habitats can accommodate that as well!

This was absolutely wonderful to watch – several times in fact 🥰. Thank you for sharing our silly lovely girl Baby! So happy to see her obvious enjoyment of a nice long cool shower and bath courtesy of Scott! Her making Scott laugh out loud with enjoyment is a wonderful sound to hear, for sure! And seeing Maia and Guille across the way was great as well, seeing their curiosity!! Thank you again, so glad to hear Baby is doing well and getting more and more comfortable. You deserve it all Baby!!! Love and hugs ❤️🐘❤️

Elephants often have a lack of pigmentation on different parts of their bodies that results in pink areas. You may notice that some of the other girls have the same, generally on their ears and noses.
