An Afternoon With Our Hoofed Friends

We’d like to introduce our newer followers, and reintroduce our longtime supporters, to a few of our non-elephant friends at sanctuary. There is a diverse group of animals whom we have adopted or who have adopted us over the years, and these are just four of them. Milo the lamb is solid white, Sally is the black and white goat, and Jorgina (aka Jorgie) is the white goat. As the three play, they are “supervised” by one of our cats, Bodhi. You can see that they make plenty of fun for themselves – and can sometimes be a handful for all of us. Bodhi can often be found shepherding the three when he is not sleeping on the couch or porch. His littermate Saffron (or Saffy, as we call her) also lives here, but Bodhi seems to feel he has a job watching over the hoofstock and they seem charmed by his company.

Bodhi is a very special cat- although we’re not sure he ever really understood that he’s a cat. ❤️

I love all the residents and it’s always a pleasure to see or to hear (the rooster) them. Btw, I got Rumbles magazine yesterday and it made my day!! Thank you so much. Please remind me when my adoptions are due as I guess it’s time to renew them. 💖
