During this festive season, we are reminded of just how honored we are to have such a generous and empathetic family of sanctuary supporters. Regardless of whether you celebrate today, you have given a gift to the elephants by following and sharing their stories, being a part of our giving initiatives, and learning more about what captive elephants need around the world.

We’re grateful for what’s still to come for all of the girls here and the ones who we hope will call Elephant Sanctuary Brazil home. You have a special place in the lives of Maia, Rana, Mara, Bambi, and Guillermina, and you’ve shared space in your hearts with the girls who have passed. Sometimes it seems that compassion can be hard to come by, but that’s not the case with those who love the elephants here. You are with us–and with the elephants–as they walk their healing pathways. We’re feeling the joy and cheer that come with this time of year, and we want to send some of that your way, too. Happy holidays and much love from all of us at ESB, now and always.

Our ladies at ESB are truly remarkable and are truly deeply happy. Their joy is a reflection of their unique sanctuary space, where each girl has evolved over the years to become the elephants they have chosen to be. Their environment and the remarkable staff who nurture them, have allowed the girls to be the most magnificent, sensitive, playful, and intelligent individuals they are.

Happy holidays to you and everyone at GSE and the beautiful girls in your Sanctuary. They are truly in the best place they’ve ever lived in and I’m so thankful that GSE embraced the task of taking on this tremendous challenge. I know the elephants are so appreciative, and couldn’t be happier than they are now in their new green paradise. I wish everyone the best life has to offer and am looking forward to welcoming new elephants in the coming year. Love to you all, best wishes, HAPPYHOLIDAYS, and HAPPY NEW YEAR! My heart still breaks when I think of Pupy and Kenya but they will be celebrating Christmas together with Jesus this year, and what could be better than that?
