Today’s Sunday Smile is brought to us by the perfect rear ends of Maia (left) and Bambi (right). You might notice that Maia’s bum is a little rounder than Bambi’s. That’s because Maia is always on the lookout for extra snacks and leftovers at meal times – and Bambi has the goods these days. She’s a little on the thin side, so we’d like to see her put on some extra pounds. We’re trying to physically space the elephants out at breakfast and dinner so that it’s not easy to “borrow” food from their friends, but Maia is an expert at locating snacks and she is stuck to Bambi’s side lately. Bambi will always be guaranteed the food she needs, but Maia will be happy to clean up any flake of hay or piece of melon that she finds unattended.
