Mara Offers Rana Her Foot

September 13, 2022

In this video, Rana and Bambi are standing against the fence, with Mara in between them. Everyone was being lighthearted and silly. You can hear Bambi’s deep rumbles, indicating her joy and excitement at being around the others. Mara begins to smell Rana and, afterwards, offers Rana her foot. It’s a playful and social thing to do – something we haven’t seen her do in quite a while. It was nice to see a lively little spirited interaction between old friends.

Will you just look at these girls? Elephants FREE, just being elephants as they were meant to be. All the joyful rumbles, and great body language between them is delightful to see. #sanctuaryheals

How sweet, and who is making the higher note noises along with Bambi’s rumbles?

There is a 4th elephant in the background watching all the shenanigans. Is that Maia?
