Giving Tuesday is a global movement scheduled every Tuesday after the US Thanksgiving holiday, which is November 30th this year. During that time, so many of us will be reflecting on things we are grateful for, and this day offers a way to celebrate those who are doing good work, all around the world. Simply stated, Giving Tuesday shows how much power every single person has to make a difference; each of those individuals working together can make radical change.
All of us are connected through this worldwide family that you have helped build. You show respect and affection to the elephants at sanctuary, offer us kindness and thoughtfulness when we need to be lifted up, and spread the word about the need for safe and humane care for captive elephants. Every dollar we raise allows us to expand and acquire essential resources to do what we are meant to do: bring more elephants to sanctuary. You – our GSE community – understand the challenges a small organization like ours faces and you have come through for us time and again.Β
We will be posting more information soon and we hope that you and others will give, if you have the ability to do so. For those of you who cannot participate financially, you can continue to make a difference by using your voice to advocate for those who canβt speak for themselves.

October 30, 2021 at 4:40 pmThey are out in yard 4 between the lollipop tree and the pond. It isn’t flat there, but they’re not walking up anything significant.

November 10, 2021 at 5:30 pmI’ve been trying to catch up on some of the past posts (family needs led to less time on the internets and all) but I cannot allow this post to pass without mentioning how much I LOVE THIS PICTURE!! It is such a great representation of those three ladies and how much they seem to be in step with each other now. May it always be so.
