Tomorrow marks six weeks since Lady arrived at Sanctuary, and we talk a lot about her and the changes that we’ve observed – changes in her eyes, in her confidence, in her spirit, but we know photos speak louder than words.
Here is an image our team took a few days before she left the zoo to come to Sanctuary next to a photo of her from this week.
This is the difference six weeks make. She’s come a long way, and she will go further still. #sanctuaryheals

January 9, 2020 at 4:46 pmLook at her! She looks great, and I can hardly believe how much better her front feet look – the swelling appears to have decreased substantially , and from all your reports her confidence growing by the day. Very well done all, and long may she enjoy her new life. Would it be possible to have a larger photo of her showing her body as it is now? Muscle growth feet eyes etc? Many thanks

January 9, 2020 at 4:51 pmYes, what a difference in 6 weeks! The rim of her left ear looks pigmented again, her eyes are more expressive. Lady will get better and better for sure. I’m so glad to see her improvements. It’s amazing what love and respect can accomplish.
Thank you again for what you are doing.

January 10, 2021 at 2:29 amThis one year really has flown by and now she has become very independent. I hope she realises that the will be there for the rest of her life. Or do elephants live in the moment?
