THE TOLL CAPTIVITY HAS TAKEN ON LADY
Decades of captivity have taken a toll on Lady’s feet, and we are doing our best to undo the damage done.  When watching her at the sanctuary in videos like this, it’s easy to forget about the tragic condition of her feet.   Basic care for her feet – the medicines, soaks, treats, and other supplies needed – adds up to $44,088/annually.  That number includes everything from:

• Epsom salts ($62/month) to
• Froot Loops ($34.40/month) to
• HardyHoof ($45.95/month) to
• tools needed for footwork ($32.33).

It does not include “soft” costs like staffing or renovating areas to allow footwork to be done safely.
