Sound on!! When we recently referenced Rana and Mara’s regular parties, a few people asked for a video to see and hear one. Here is a small one!
The backstory:
Rana and Mara were on the way to dinner, and Mara was already a little silly. Kat was on the 4wheeler (ATV). The plan was for Rana and Mara to follow for a minute until Kat arrived at an open space to feed them. Rana decided to go off the path and into the woods a bit. Mara seemed a little concerned about where her friend was going. When Rana walked off the path, Mara stopped for a moment. Once she heard Rana in the woods, Mara decided to go into the woods to find her friend. When Mara went into the woods, Rana had to turn around to find Mara because that’s how it works. 😉
Mara is doing most of the vocalizing, as usual. After they both walk out (Rana walks out first), you can see how they are happy and almost proud that they found each other in the bushes… after an entire ten seconds of not seeing each other, while knowing exactly where the other one was.
Those two are just perfect for each other. ❤️

July 8, 2020 at 5:30 pmWhat a beautiful story these two girls are, together now, at this point in their lives. After such long and tortuous journeys. Plus those high-pitched squeaks coming from such a big and formidable creature are just too much! If I were walking and heard those sounds but didn’t see them, I would never in a million years think they were coming from an Ele!
