Sweet Grandma Ramba is staying hydrated. It can be challenging to get Ramba to drink when it’s cold outside. With low temperatures, she prefers her water warm, but even then she’s just not that excited to drink. But with her kidney and liver issues from years with the circus, it’s essential for her to drink.
This week we have received many photos from her caregivers of Ramba drinking. This included one that shows a very long hose extension that Diego put together to give Ramba water in the middle of her yard. We are grateful for all of the nurturing that Ramba’s caregivers in Chile have given her over the years. And for continuing to give her what she needs until she starts her new life at Elephant Sanctuary Brazil.

September 23, 2019 at 8:46 amBeautiful Ramba, soon cold weather and water will be a distant memory. Can’t wait to see you in your new home. Hopefully because everything will be so different you will choose to drink more water on your long walks and when you feel safe to go into the ponds and splash around and also have a top up drink. ??????
