Sunday Smile – The Deer Are Right At Home

While building the male Asian habitat, the construction crew looked over and saw this little deer, relatively close to where they were working. It hung out for quite some time, appearing to eat something in the dirt. He or she looks very healthy and at home on the property.

One of the workers asked if this was a deer we’d released, and we don’t know, but there are many of them around. Our crew sees deer often and they always seem calm and happy.

These animals realize that no one here is trying to hunt or catch them, and there are so few people around that they relax and feel more at home. It’s just one small example of how true sanctuary can help species of all kinds.

Hope you enjoy this #SundaySmile

I need sanctuary. Any openings? I wouldn’t be much trouble.

Just joking. Life within the sanctuary concept just seems so right. We could all use some sanctuary from time to time if not all the time.
