We’re well into the dry season at Elephant Sanctuary Brazil, but that doesn’t mean that the sanctuary colors have all disappeared. This week’s Sunday Smile shows Mara (back) and Rana (front) grazing under the yellow and green trees, which are gradually shedding their leaves. Once the showers have fully stopped for the year, the grass doesn’t stay as green. Still, the elephants never lack for meals and snacks. We make sure to give them extra supplemental hay, palms, grains, and produce during these times so they stay happy and healthy.
