Sunday Smile: Lady Plays Hide and Seek

Lady is still enjoying her time in the male Asian yard, filled with as many palms as she can eat. This week’s Sunday Smile catches Lady in an easygoing mood, as she seems to peek at us through the trees. She clearly knows how smitten we all are with her and how we find so many things she does charming. It’s even cuter to see her play into that fact.

Adorable Ladybug! But how will she cope when there’s actually a male elephant in there?

we need to expand the female Asian elephant habitat. so hopefully, we can raise funds for that by the next dry season.

Such a precious girl! I think she is as happy as can be and is satisfied with the level of interaction and attention she gets. If ever she wants more, then she’ll make that known. No reason to worry here!

What a great shot of our beautiful Lady. Except for her ongoing foot problems, she’s looking healthy & content with so many palms for her dining enjoyment. I know she’s gaining some ground in this area, but I wonder if we will ever see her become closer to her sisters? I think about her all alone at night….it would be so comforting to have a friend near by.
I hope we see this photo in next year’s calendar? 🙂

If she ever indicates that she wants to be near them, we can shift the other girls into the neighboring yards. We believe that she communicates with them in her own way, even if it’s not vocally or by touch. She seems content in her life right now, so we try to listen to what she’s telling us.
