Sunday Smile: Everybody Shifts

Lady decided she wanted to move out of the male yard and back into the main habitat by the barn and Yard 5. That means all of the other girls needed to shift back into Yard 4 again. The elephants seem to be on the same page when it’s time to shift. We don’t know if they talk to each other or if it just feels like time to do something different – or go back to the norm. But it seems like when Lady is ready to go back to her space, the other girls are ready to go back, too. Cooperation and coexistence – things to smile about this Sunday.

I’m not surprised by this. I feel animals are much more in tune with their environments than humans can comprehend.

Hopefully one day Lady will want to hang out with the other girls. Until then, I’m glad she is happy and living her best life💚

I agree with Johnny’s comment. There is so much we can learn from animals and nature. We need to stop, be still, observe, and listen.
