Sunday Smile: After Dinner Snack

This week’s Sunday Smile is a picturesque background of hills, valleys, and trees–all gracefully framing the lovely Mara. Mara took a break after dinner and found a few bites of hay that had been left for her and Rana in the habitat. At first, she just played with her snack, picking it up and putting it back down again several times. Eventually, she took a good sized bite and seemed to savor it. She certainly wasn’t in any hurry, which is exactly how it should be.

So beautiful. I know elephants are not native to South America, but it sure looks “natural” to me. Thank you!

Oh sweet Mara….I do the same thing!! I will pick up a BBQ potato chip, turning it around to look for the perfect bite, setting it back down and then put the perfect bite in my mouth and enjoying it. We must get together for a ladies lunch. I’m never in a hurry for good snacks!!
