One recent morning, the girls were walking to breakfast along the fences between Yards 4 and 5 – which is a different area for them to spend time in. They were in a loose configuration, popping out of the bushes at various places along the way.
In this video you can initially see Mara and Bambi stopped along the path, side by side. What you may not realize until she pops her trunk out from behind Bambi is that Rana is walking with them, too. She moves her head to Bambi’s right, revealing herself from her unintended hiding spot. The three continued to the fence line for breakfast, followed closely by Maia and Guillermina. It was a quiet, calm morning – the kind we truly appreciate at sanctuary.

February 12, 2023 at 4:01 pmHi.
Do you ever see Lady near any of the others? She wasn’t with the group of 5 the other day either. Or is she living separate from the others?
Many thanks for every single post!

February 12, 2023 at 4:57 pmLady stays in a yard to herself. Though if she ever expresses interest in sharing space with the others, we’d facilitate that.

February 12, 2023 at 4:46 pmI watched before I read the post, wondering if I’d get a Rana squeak. Maybe next time. It was still absolutely wonderful to see the 3 girls out enjoying the day. Amazingly lush. They seem to be walking through in awe of it too.
