Not a video, but sometimes Rana squeaks when you take a photo. Because she really is that cute. Tomorrow we’ll try to post a video of how it usually goes when we try to get her squeaks on video. It’s good for a laugh at least.
What a dear survivor she is! Has her left eye been injured or is she just blinking in the photo? I’ve never heard of an elephant squeaking–what do you think she’s saying when she squeaks? Is she pleased? Or annoyed? Or just acknowledging the attention?
She squints just before she squeaks, it’s both eyes. The video we had posted a while ago shows it. Not only does she squint, but she flaps her ears really hard as well. For her, it’s a sweet noise.
