Rain Comes To Sanctuary

The long-wished-for rain finally came to Elephant Sanctuary Brazil. Everyone has been sensing its arrival, so this is a welcome respite from the sun. Generally, the rains start returning sporadically in late September, so this first real downpour was greeted with open arms.

As Scott said, “With more humidity in the air and the forecast for additional rain coming soon, everyone is breathing a little more comfortably. In general, it feels like there is life in the air that we are breathing, but the difference is palpable across all of the beings. From the chickens to the elephants to the care and construction teams, everyone is lighter.”

Here’s to more rain soon and continued good spirits all around the sanctuary.
