Pupy in the Evening Light

Yesterday evening, caregivers drove all the way around the three yards in Pupy’s habitat before finally finding her about halfway up the fence between Yards 2 and 3. They stopped to interact with her and she came casually strolling over, looking beautiful in the golden light of the evening. 

Pupy is spreading joy wherever she goes, showing everyone that she seems to be having fun exploring her habitat, disappearing for a while, and just becoming relaxed in her new home. She’s been a very mellow elephant when working with the caregivers, and it feels as though each day she’s loosening up more and getting truly comfortable doing her own thing. There’s so much about the natural world that can enrich her life and encourage her to step outside of the past and into the present, where she gets the space and time she needs to figure out who she really is.

    What an absolutely beatiful sight….I love the way she just seems to prance so joyfully. Miss Pupy is music to the soul.
