Maia is continuing to do well and spending most of her time out and about. Right this second she is between the mud wallow by the pond, and lollipop tree, soaking up the end of the day sun.
While we are thrilled for Ramba that her permits were approved, it also makes us happy for Maia and Rana as well. More elephants in an expansive habitat allow for more mental and social stimulation. But Ramba also has that grounded grandma vibe that has been missing a bit since Guida’s passing. We are hopeful that Maia resonates with Ramba on this level and gets back something familiar that she recently lost.
If you would like to help fund Ramba’s rescue and bring her home to Maia and Rana, you can give here → And please share our posts and her story so we can raise the money needed to bring Ramba to Elephant Sanctuary Brazil.
Thank you in advance and to everyone who has given and shared so far.
