P&G One Month Video

Pocha and Guillermina just passed their one-month mark at sanctuary. While they still have much to learn about being an elephant, a herd member, and who it is they truly are when given the ability to choose, they have already come so far. Here is a look back at the past month as Ingo discusses what this journey has meant. The voiceover is done by Ingo in Spanish, but the subtitles are in English.

There has yet to be a day that I haven’t cried watching the videos. Today is no exception. Ingo captured the amazing journey and progress the ladies have experienced in such a short period of time. Thank you, as always, for sharing this.

What is incredible to me, is the couple of times on the video seeing Scott & Kat next to the elephants, and noticing how big they actually are. It’s hard to get the proper perspective when it’s just the elephants by themselves. They sure are enormous and amazing creatures! Even I was surprised, and I’ve been watching elephant videos now for a couple of years.

I feel so many emotions watching this. From being a small girl, over 50 years ago, seeing animals in circuses and captivity, hating it and wishing I could rescue them all, this is such a joy to watch. How must these girls feel, they must be so happy to be there and they are doing so well investigating, meeting the others and settling in. I can’t believe how far they’ve come. It’s wonderful they have each other and that is a positive, that Mendoza never split them up. Thank you Global Elephants Brazil, your sanctuary being there for these eles means so much to so many, people and elephants πŸ’œπŸ’šπŸ’œπŸ’šπŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸŒ±πŸŒΈπŸ‰πŸ“πŸ‰πŸŒπŸ
