Pelusa’s Bigger Than Lady Bites

Pelusa at La Plata ZooI apologize, I got so caught up in trying to get a chemistry blood machine bought and shipped so it could be brought here next week by someone flying in, that I let the day slip by. Between chickens (we have 11-3 day old nuggets without a mom), tapirs and elephants, i just realized it’s dark out and there’s no post. The good news is, the chemistry machine is set and will be here in a week!! Thank you to everyone who donated to and shared Pelusa’s fundraiser to help make it possible. First piece in all of this.  For your post, lovely Pelusa taking bigger than lady bites of hay and a few words from Suz…..

“Also, I want to say that in the rainy and the cloudy and the long and the struggles… I often find myself breaking the biggest internet rule of all – I read the comments on FB. And I just want to say Thank You.

I am but a very small piece in the puzzle of getting Pelusa to Sanctuary… but when I am cold, wet, physically tired, emotionally exhausted, or, sadly, sometimes all the above – I run over to the zoo WiFi location, or I curl up in sweatpants on the couch at my AirBnB (with a glass of delicious Argentine wine, of course), and I head over the Facebook page…and I read every comment. I just want you to know that your energy, positivity, and beautiful words feed me….and then I can go back to Pelusa, renewed, and she picks up on that energy from me. So, thank you, you are all wonderful & you make a real, tangible difference!” –Suz

I hope Suz reads Instagram too! Love you all so much. Live for the day when all elephants, all animals, all children, all oceans are save and happy. Let’s not forget ladybugs, bees, butterflies and lizards – LOVE LOVE LOVE. Planet Earth has such possibilities. Positive energy sent!
