Opening Up the Gate for Mara and Rana

Our other catch up video from yesterday is when we opened the gate between Mara and Rana. This was about an hour after the first incidence of them touching through the fence. After that, they walked away a bit and took a short standing nap. When they woke, they got back together at the fence, looked much more comfortable from the start, so we opened up.

There’s not much explanation needed with this one. But make sure to check out Mara’s giant cheesy grin at the very end of the video. For those who wonder if you can really see when an elephant smiles, that should answer your question. 🙂

OM goodness. HOW long since sweet Mara has touched another like her? Just astoundingly tender and wonderful. Rana is quite the gal, too. So sweet with her.

That is the most beautiful cheesy grin I have seen in a long time! And Rana, being such a warm and loving big sister! Can’t wait for her to show Mara all the great places to discover and enjoy!!! Beautiful & touching to be able to witness this. Rana is such a sweet soul. Mara is so overjoyed with being able to reach out and touch another just like her. Brings happy happy tears to my eyes to see the

Wonderful, still can’t get my head around how lucky they are to have found a friend, and Rana been looking for so long. It great to see how they touch and smell and how blissfully happy they seem.
