Today things are a little more settled. I would say normal, but none of us have quite figured out the new normal just yet. Maia had been coming back to the barn more, not wanting to stay out as much, and somewhat out of sorts when she was at the barn. But the empty space and quiet times today seemed more relaxed, filled with methodical grazing and an overall sense of calm.
We know Maia’s moods and emotions will continue to ebb and flow, and we respect the process of mourning that she has to go through. But it is nice to have days like this where you feel she is making progress.

July 12, 2019 at 5:02 pmHi beautiful girl, you look so pretty dappled by the sun. You’re finding your way around things, it will take time beautiful but one day hopefully in the not too distant future you will be happier and more relaxed. ??????
