Muddy Maia

When writing about the girls in posts, we frequently say, “she was covered in mud” or “she was muddy.” Sometimes, we refer to the process as a “mud party.”

No matter what we call it, we are never sure if it gives you the proper mental picture of how much mud they cake on when they are “covered” in mud. We do mean covered. 😊

We recently took this video of Maia, covered in mud, after a mud party, and we hope it gives you a smile – and a better understanding of how our girls define “muddy.”

No matter how you look at it, if it’s for the LADIES, then it is SPA TIME! And, I hope they are getting cocktails served!

It is so wonderful to read and see photos of the girls and their antics. They are loving their freedom, and I am loving each and everyone of you that give them the love, care and freedom they so deserve.

I love every detail of what you all get up to.
‘Mud, mud, glorious mud, nothing quite like it for cooling the blood etc.” I have forgotten the rest of it.
I think it is some English nonsense song to do with hippos.

    “Mud, mud, glorious mud,
Nothing quite like it for cooling the blood. So follow me, follow, down to the hollow
And there let us wallow in glorious mud.”

Here is the chorus of “The Hippopotamus Song”.

I’ve always wondered why elephants have such wrinkly skin. Perhaps the purpose is to provide for maximum mud attachment! As always, many heartfelt thanks for everything you all do and for sharing with us.
