Morning With Scott: Sandro is Shining Through

Scott was live with an update on Sandro! He’s been exploring all over the habitat, playing in the mud, enjoying the hose, and seems to be well rested this morning. We’re doing small experiments to understand his unique food preferences, and monitoring his digestion closely. His comfort is growing, and we’re seeing more and more of his personality every day.

      He’s had access to it but we haven’t seen him go in just yet!

    You speak to him in English, is he bilingual? Where he lived didn’t they speak Portuguese to him? He is definitely happy. It looks like he has a permanent smile on his face. He’s so cute. What I noticed about him that I haven’t with the others is when he sprays sand or water he lifts each back leg. I think that’s interesting. Ty all

      We find that elephants respond to intention and tone as much as they do actual language. So our caregivers speak in the language they’re most comfortable with and we’ve never had trouble communicating. Elephants are great listeners.

    He’s really adjusting well to his new, beautiful life. Sandro is not only experiencing freedom, but he’s got knowledgeable team behind him making sure his physical health is very well taken cared of🥰

    Thanks again. It’s big fun watching the Sandro and Scott Show. He already looks much better since escaping from the zoo. Hopefully his real health situation won’t be too bad. 🙏🐘🍉

    It’s so lovely to see Sandro so relaxed and comfortable, exploring his new home. He really is a sweet gentle boy and he’s my newly adopted ele! Thank you GSE for caring and loving this beautiful boy🙌❤️🐘❤️
