When Mara first arrived, she preferred water from the garden hose rather than the water trough. This preference seems to be shifting because now, when we offer her the hose, she only drinks a few trunkfuls at a time. This shows us she is drinking more from the spring-fed creek and troughs now.
If the girls are by the trough, we offer them the hose just in case. The other day, Scott offered Mara the hose, but she wasn’t that interested. While she was there, he turned on the sprinkler to see if she or Rana wanted a bath, and Mara got super silly. Once the sprinkler came on, Mara had a moment of total squish face.
In the video- Rana walks over towards Mara, and Mara is the one who vocalizes.

June 29, 2020 at 6:31 pmWas that a rainbow I saw on Mara while she was being showered with water and love? Yup – right on that beautiful creature. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a rainbow like that – and yet it’s fitting. Thanks for the uplifting video!
