Recently, when we check on the girls at lunchtime, Mara has been in the pond in Yard 4. She’s been enjoying the pond in general lately, and it’s great to see her take advantage of everything sanctuary has to offer.
When we pulled up the other day, we saw her grazing outside of the pond. We haven’t seen her grazing recently, and we weren’t sure how much she was grazing. With all of the foliage now, there are many parts of the pasture that we can’t see on the cameras. It was a relief to see her grazing, with Rana and Bambi also grazing nearby.
We still dropped off her large bucket of fruits and vegetables and a smaller amount of snacks for the others. They continued hanging out and eating grass after they finished their snack delivery.

January 26, 2021 at 3:32 amIt’s very heartening to know that Mara is relaxed and grazing with Bambi and Rana close by. She appears to be much more mellow with Bambi now, Maybe Bambi is not as boisterous and excited in Mara’s company. Maybe Mara is beginning to feel a little better.
We all want the best for each of the girls and, thankfully, they have incredible caretakers who go the extra mile to ensure their well being and the best care possible.

January 26, 2021 at 7:14 pmSuch happy posts of these very happy & @ home eles in SANCTUARY that y’all have put together for them. I can only imagine what it must feel like to watch all the GGs (Golden Girls) enjoy the fruits if y’all’s labours. I would just be standing there, watching from a distance & hugging & high fiving myself; so proud to know just how much you’ve changed the lives of these BEAUTIFUL souls for the best & forever. SANCTUARY HEALS. And LOVE ALWAYS WINS! Thank you for lifting my spirits too many times to count right now. Y’all ROCK!
