We have made it over the last big hurdle. Mara and the team are about to begin the final stretch. We are hoping for an arrival time of around 12noon, Eastern, today, Wednesday. Please keep an eye on our Facebook page because she could arrive earlier or later – that time is a very rough estimate!
By the time you read this, Mara and the caravan have left the final stop. Along this last section, they will have very little to no reception to provide updates until they are here.
The transport truck that was chosen in Argentina for the first leg of the trip was chosen for its low profile for bridges and overpasses. Now that we are driving on dirt roads, we needed the exact opposite truck – one with more clearance underneath.
The second truck and crane met the caravan very early this morning. The crate was moved quickly and easily from the first truck to the second. Mara did really well.
In general, she is looking more relaxed this morning than she has. This is the most relaxed Scott has seen her on this journey. She is eating well and calm. She is really enjoying her bamboo, palm leaves, and fresh-cut grass. As you see in the video, they are providing her with sugar cane, banana leaves, and bananas as snacks for her to eat along the drive.

Again, we are hoping for an arrival around 12noon Eastern today!! She is almost home!
