Sometimes after dinner at the barn, Mara, Bambi, and Rana will lazily stay around or search for leftover scraps; depending on their mood, they might also head back into the habitat right away because they know there are nice piles of food scattered around for them to find.
On this particular evening, Mara and Bambi decided to head out to search for snacks, while Rana hung back to make sure there were no extra flakes of hay to be found.
Here you can see Mara with Bambi following behind, as she often does, with the sun at their backs – just dusting and taking their time. Sometimes an after-dinner walk is just what is needed, especially when the air is calm and the company is good.
