Bambi knows that there are after-dinner snacks in the yards. Sometimes she rushes back right after dinner and other times she waits for Mara to lead the way. This particular evening, she and Mara had dinner out in the habitat.
Rana had already ventured toward earlier leftovers by the Lollipop Tree, so Mara and Bambi were hanging out as a twosome close by. This clip is a wonderful example of how relaxed their relationship has become. Bambi doesn’t try to stop Mara from sharing any food. She just seems happy to hang out with her friend, who seems equally happy to share space… and some extra treats.

October 16, 2021 at 2:02 pmThe close friendship and trust these two girls share is so evident by their body language. As always, without realizing I am smiling all the while I am watching one of these videos . I feel pure happiness for Bambi and Mara. Each one of them deserves all the joy and contentment they find in each other’s friendship.
